How to fix cisco VPN on Windows 10


I tried this one and it worked for me J

-          Important: If the VPN client was already installed before the upgrade, then uninstall it first and then reboot the machine. after the reboot follow following steps:



1. Install the Cisco VPN client:



Note: if fresh installation then you need to install the VPN Profile, but if the vpn client was already installed before the upgrade, then you might not need to install profile again.


2. Optional if needed:

·         Open regedit (always take backup of the registry before you do any changes)

·         Browse to the registry key HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CVirtA

·         Double click on the Display Name registry and change the value to:

§  If x86 – change the value to "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter"

§  If x64 – change the value to "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows"
  3.       Reboot the computer
